Specialisms: Speech intelligibility

Anne studied electroacoustics at the University of Salford from 1996 to 2000, spending her year in industry at the acoustics lab of the Institute of Technical Physics in Odense, Denmark. After graduation she returned to Denmark to work for Bruel & Kjaer at their headquarters in Copenhagen, where she was an application specialist for the electroacoustics team and product manager for the ear and mouth simulators.

In 2002 she joined Professor Bridget Shields's team at London South Bank University as a research assistant, working on a three year EPSRC funded project looking at room acoustics in classroom and their effects on children and teachers. She also signed up to do a PhD specifically looking at speech intelligibility of young children in their classrooms.

Anne joined New Acoustics in 2005 and became a director in 2006. She is currently completing her PhD studies.

Anne is a member of the Institute of Acoustics, (IOA), and secretary of the committee of the Building Acoustics Group. She is also a member of the Acoustical Society of America and the Women's Engineering Society.
