The Howden Park Centre - an incredible new theatre and arts base in West Lothian - has impressed the judges to be named Building of the Year at the Edinburgh Architectural Association awards.
New Acoustics was heavily involved in the project, ensuring good sound insulation between different theatres that share some facilities, as well as working on the dance studio.
The awards were announced and presented at the Balmoral Hotel on Thursday April 1. More than 40 entries were submitted.
Robert Black, President of the Edinburgh Architectural Association, said: "It is gratifying and encouraging that the profession continues to achieve such a high standard of architecture across a wide variety of building types".
The centre is West Lothian's major arts venue for professional and community groups as well as for functions, conferences and other events. It includes a 300-seat auditorium, rehearsal space and dance studios and is the home of Firefly Youth Theatre. It was designed by Nicoll Russell Studios.

We pleased to announce that among the 44 projects on this year's Civic Trust Awards shortlist are three on which the acoustic design was provided by New Acoustics.
We wish the best of luck to the three teams headed by PagePark Architects Glasgow for the Fraser Building, Reiach & Hall Architects Edinburgh for the New Stobhill Hospital and Bennetts Associates Architects Edinburgh for the Potterrow Development and hope that the good acoustic environments at each will help sway the final judges' decision in their favour.
The awards ceremony takes place on Friday March 12 at St George's Hall, Liverpool, hosted by George Clarke of Channel 4's The Home Show.
